This charming country cottage surrounded by fields and peaceful countryside can also be used by larger parties up to 10 persons, because it has two/three separate smaller living areas.
Piennarpää is mostly used as a single cottage, but it can be separated to two separate apartments, to Piennarsali (=the ground floor) and to Piennarpivo (=the first floor) by closing a door between the two entrance halls. Teleworkers mostly acquire only one of the apartments. Free WIFI.
Piennarsali and Piennarpivo can be rented separately especially for teleworkers. Then the door to the inside stairs going upstairs is closed and the tenants of Piennarpivo use the outside stairs to enter Piennarpivo.
The ground floor of Piennarpää is called Piennarsali. It has an open plan kitchen/dining/living area with dishwasher and two sofa beds, a wood burning fire place and a TV. There is also a ”finer” sitting room called ”sali” in Finnish with a sleeping alcove for two persons. Then there is a wood burning sauna, shower, WC, utility room and a small verandah used for cooling after sauna baths. Piennarsali sleeps 4 persons. (The sofa bed in the sitting room can be used as a fifth bed, if Piennarsali is rented separately).
The first floor called Piennarpivo has a cosy sitting room area with TV and a stove. In connection with that there is a dining area and a mini kitchen with a door leading to the outside stairs via a large balcony. There is a double bedroom and two additional attic bedrooms with two mattresses in each and a shower/WC. Piennarpivo sleeps 6 persons, but is much smaller than Piennarsali because of the low ceilings.
There are two separate grounds including a barbecue area with a table and chairs and a garden swing seat. There is also a wendy house for children while the lake shore 250m away along a pretty nature trail has a sandy bottomed area suitable for children’s paddling with adult supervision. There is also a barbecue shed, a jetty, a rowing boat and a wood burning sauna. It gives you an ideal opportunity to enjoy the famous Finnish pastime of staying in the heat of sauna swimming in the cooling lake in turns for a truly relaxing feeling.
